You don’t have to go to a parlor to get a tattoo, just pick one up in a jar
you-dont-have-to-go-to-a-parlor-to-get-a-tattoo-just-pick-one-up-in-a-jar<p>Get ready; here comes another post on personal care products. I'm on a kick, what can I say? Then again, you're probably just as fascinated with lip tattoos as I am. And I thought I'd heard everything a jar could be used for. You learn something new every day.</p> <p>I first read about<a href=http://www.violentlips.com/> Violent Lips</a> in the November issue of <a href=http://www.gcimagazine.com/business/management/innovation/130455203.html><i>GCI Magazine</i></a>. It's a subtly disturbing title for a personal care line that's for sure, but the use of its product is even more intriguing. Cosmetic tattooing isn't a new trend. People have been getting their lips permanently stained and their eyes eternally lined for ages now. You'll see in the below paragraphs how the stylish design spin and its all-important temporary duration sets the product in a Violent Lips jar apart.</p> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oGsEqDd8R6Y/Tt5QaNRMJoI/AAAAAAAAAPw/BdIIg3QerU0/s1600/glitteratti.png><img src=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oGsEqDd8R6Y/Tt5QaNRMJoI/AAAAAAAAAPw/BdIIg3QerU0/s200/glitteratti.png alt= width=200 height=141 border=0 /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Image courtesy of Violentlips.com</td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><a href=http://www.violentlips.com/collections/glitteratti><b>Glitteratti</b></a></p> <div>The Glitteratti collection consists of applicators in the shape of lips. Just press the tattoo strip on your lip and dab with water. Sound familiar? Yes, these tattoos are just like the ones you used as a kid. Only not meant to impress friends with rebel style, these are for nights when you're looking for sparkle in a jar or are dressing up as the kid who eats glitter and glue for Halloween. <b> </b></div> <div></div> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-axSzyvKjgMQ/Tt5Qkm61tnI/AAAAAAAAAP4/Tvsrm9CxtiU/s1600/Cheetah.png><img src=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-axSzyvKjgMQ/Tt5Qkm61tnI/AAAAAAAAAP4/Tvsrm9CxtiU/s200/Cheetah.png alt= width=200 height=141 border=0 /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Image courtesy of Violentlips.com</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><b> </b><a href=http://www.violentlips.com/collections/animal-prints><b>Cheetah and Leopard</b></a><br /> The Cheetah and Leopard collections spread jungle fever via a jar. Do you have an animal-like energy lurking within you? Express it on your lips. That's the only use I can come up with for these. Maybe you could go wander the zoo and see if any animals recognize you as a lost relative. Be sure to stay a few feet away from the cages.<b> </b></p> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ru9CnswfeI/Tt5RFsuOE0I/AAAAAAAAAQA/yJR-Jg6znX4/s1600/Fishnet.png><img src=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_ru9CnswfeI/Tt5RFsuOE0I/AAAAAAAAAQA/yJR-Jg6znX4/s200/Fishnet.png alt= width=200 height=141 border=0 /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Image courtesy of Violentlips.com</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><b> </b><a href=http://www.violentlips.com/collections/all-products/fishnet><b>Fishnet</b></a><br /> The Fishnet collection blows my mind. I get the allure of fishnet stockings. They're different, out of the ordinary and appealing in that sense. But translating a pattern from one's legs to their lips is a bit of a leap, even for my far-fetched imagination. What's next, are we going to start wearing jeans on our lips? Too late, apparently we already are.</p> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href=http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--OttUtzMu_0/Tt5Rl9aB5tI/AAAAAAAAAQI/ZjYQs5lxp1A/s1600/polka.png><img src=http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--OttUtzMu_0/Tt5Rl9aB5tI/AAAAAAAAAQI/ZjYQs5lxp1A/s200/polka.png alt= width=200 height=141 border=0 /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Image courtesy of Violentlips.com</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><b><a href=http://www.violentlips.com/collections/all-products/polka-dot>Polka</a> </b><br /> The Polka dot collection is as cute as it gets. Remember the days when you worried about someone spotting something in your teeth? Suit up with this lip tattoo daily and onlookers will be so puzzled by what's on your lips they won't notice whether or not you even have teeth. <b> </b></p> <table cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0> <tbody> <tr> <td><a href=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e9uFghBtIFw/Tt5SMgDo6VI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/rN6HWutKgMo/s1600/Flag.png><img src=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-e9uFghBtIFw/Tt5SMgDo6VI/AAAAAAAAAQQ/rN6HWutKgMo/s200/Flag.png alt= width=200 height=141 border=0 /></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Image courtesy of Violentlips.com</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><b> </b><a href=http://www.violentlips.com/collections/patriotic><b>Patriotic </b></a><br /> The Patriotic collection made the biggest impression on me. Who hasn't dreamed of wearing a flag on their lips? Whether you're repping your home country, a place you'd like to visit or are using the look as a political tool to support or oppose a given international situation, this jar of tats is perfect for all occasions.</p> <p>I've never so much as pondered the idea of getting a tattoo. Personal reasons aside (I couldn't bear to imagine my pure and innocent, angel-like skin being tainted with ink, coming from a needle, of which who knows where it's been), I don't think I have the right kind of moxie to pull it off. Yet, as pointless as it seems, by trying on a pair of Violent Lips myself, I would not only be reviewing the product, but also expanding my personal care horizons. It's a win-win. Glitteratti, Cheetah, Leopard, Fishnet, Polka or Patriotic? Which should it be?</p> <p><b>Which Violent Lips option should I try? Tell me in the comments! </b></p>
