So I overestimated the “high impact and shatter resistance” capability of a PET jar of peanut butter. When I was writing the video script I thought for sure that a 15 foot drop onto a concrete warehouse floor would be a piece of cake for a PET jar of peanut butter … boy was I wrong.

My disappointment quickly turned to ghoulish delight as I watched multiple jars of peanut butter thud and splat onto our warehouse floor from varying heights. In fact, it was so delightful trying to determine the “high impact and shatter resistance” limit of an 8 oz PET jar of peanut butter that I thought I would let you join in the fun. Please watch as Matt performs the tests.

So what IS the “high impact and shatter resistance” capability of this 8 oz PET jar of peanut butter? It’s not 15 feet. Nor is it 12. Eight actually was about as high as we dared. Actually, in your home, when are you going to be dropping an 8 oz PET jar of peanut butter from higher than 8 feet. Really.
