Spring-Cleaning: Time for Paint Cans
spring-cleaning-paint-cans
Spring is just around the corner! Well, maybe not JUST around the corner, but it is the next season. And with spring comes spring-cleaning: that heavy-duty cleaning where you get rid of all of the dust, dirt, and grime that accumulated over the cold months. There couldn't be a better time of year, then, to freshen up your home, office, or any other building with a new coat of paint! If you want to paint, you are going to need some paint cans.

Paint Cans

Container & Packaging Supply has three different sizes of round paint cans to help facilitate your painting projects. The paint cans come in 1-gallon, 1-quart, and 1-pint sizes. Each of the cans come with a standard lid that is opened with a screwdriver or wedge and is closed by tamping it down with a mallet. These paint cans are also ideal for stains, thinners, and more.

Less Mess

If you are working on a big project, then you'll probably get your paint in a 5-gallon bucket. While these buckets hold a lot of paint, they have some serious drawbacks. They are big, awkward, and heavy. It can be difficult to haul a big bucket of paint up and down a ladder, and pouring it into a painting tray can get messy. Instead, you can put your paint into smaller containers, which will be easier to carry around. If you have lots of helpers, each painter may have his or her very own paint can. This technique is especially useful if your kids don't share well (whose do?), and they want to paint out of their own cans.

Paint Preservation

A second disadvantage of the 5-gallon paint buckets is that your paint will be exposed to a lot of air. When you have used a lot of the paint, the remaining paint will be exposed to air due to the size of the bucket, and will start drying out. If you transfer your paint out of the big buckets into smaller 1-gallon, 1-quart, or 1-pint paint cans, then the paint will not be exposed to as much air, thus helping it last longer.

So go ahead, start planning your painting projects! And get some paint cans to make life a little less messy and a little more fun!
