Saturday Evening Pumps, Part 2

saturday-evening-pumps-part-2
Another Saturday evening, another exciting time perusing the depths of the Container & Packaging Supply catalog. What would I uncover this time? Would I delve deep enough into the catalog to discover the rest of the secrets of the pumps? I could only hope. Last week, I found out all about smooth, ribbed, up-lock, and down-lock pumps. This Saturday, I decided to devote my energy into uncovering the riddles of treatment, foamer, and airless pumps. Without further ado, I plunged in.

Treatment Pumps

These little guys are finger depressors. You push them down with your finger (or your toe, if you’re that talented). They come with several different lengths of tubes, from 3.4 to 7. Some of these pumps, including the 20-410 white smooth treatment pump (seriously, who names these things?) sprays out a mist. The 20-410 black smooth treatment pump (once again, what original names) look like a fine mist sprayer, but shoot out a stream instead of a mist. So make sure that you choose the right pump, depending on if you want a stream or a mist. If you are spraying something in your face, you might get quite the shock if your anticipated mist ends up squirting you in the eye. Pick the right one!

Foamer Pumps

I got excited when I saw these pumps. Who doesn't love a luxurious, rich, smooth, foamy soap straight from the bottle? My hands tingle with excitement just with the thought! I bet if I put foamers in all of my bathrooms, even my boys would get excited about using soap when they wash their hands! Then again, that is probably just wishful thinking.

Airless Pump

This little contraption is pretty fascinating (especially to someone who reads the catalog for fun). This pump comes with the bottle and cap. First you fill it up with lotion or cleanser and put the pump in. Then when you push the pump and dispense the product, a plunger rises in the bottle, keeping air away from the product. This helps keep bacteria and other nasty stuff out of the bottle, thus prolonging the life of your product. I think I want one. I’m not sure what I’ll use it for, but it seems like something I would want.

My Saturday night has once again been educational and very exciting. If you start browsing the catalog, you might discover mysteries that I have yet to behold. One day, perhaps your Saturday nights can be as exciting as mine are!
