Plastic Poetry: an Anthology for Other

plastic-poetry-anthology
Last but not least, it is time to tackle some poetry for the mysterious 7 plastic. Containers made with a resin identification of 7 fit in the other category. These containers don't fit in the traditional mold of the first six classifications. They may be made of different resins or may be made of a combination of different plastics. Since this is such a broad category of plastics, it seemed appropriate to create a broad range of poetry. Enjoy the cinquain, acrostic, haiku, and concrete poems dedicated specifically to the other plastics!

A Cinquain for Seven

Seven
Recycle code
For everything else
Miscellaneous plastic group
Other

Other Other Plastics

O ne category, lots of different plastics
T hree- and five-gallon reusable water bottles
H ardest resin code to recycle
E ntertainment discs like DVDs
R ecycled into plastic lumber and bottles

Not-So-Nature-Inspired Haiku

Oven-baking bags
A multi-layered plastic
Number code seven
<figure id=attachment_2841 aria-describedby=caption-attachment-2841 style=width: 206px class=wp-caption alignnone><img class=size-medium wp-image-2841 src=https://www.containerandpackaging.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/Plastic7_edited-1-206x195.jpg alt=Concrete poem for "other" plastics width=206 height=195 srcset=https://cpazurefilestorage.blob.core.windows.net/website-images/legacyBlogImages/Plastic7_edited-1-206x195.jpg 206w, https://cpazurefilestorage.blob.core.windows.net/website-images/legacyBlogImages/Plastic7_edited-1-150x141.jpg 150w, https://cpazurefilestorage.blob.core.windows.net/website-images/legacyBlogImages/Plastic7_edited-1-1024x965.jpg 1024w, https://cpazurefilestorage.blob.core.windows.net/website-images/legacyBlogImages/Plastic7_edited-1.jpg 1391w sizes=(max-width: 206px) 100vw, 206px />
Concrete poem for “other” plastics

Now that you've made it through the poems, let's investigate a little more into this category. Other plastics, marked with the number 7, are the rest of the plastics that don't fit into the first six categories. They may be made of acrylic or nylon or other resins. They may be made of layers of more than one different plastic. Some common goods marked with other include three- and five-gallon reusable water bottles, DVDs, and oven-baking bags, sunglass and eyeglass lenses, and riot shields. Number 7 “other” plastics are not traditionally recycled, but when they are, they can be made into bottles and plastic lumber materials. You can also watch this video for more information about other plastics.

It is time to give yourself a pat on the back. Seven plastic codes, seven blog posts of poetry, and you’ve made it to the end! Hopefully it will be a few more years before we let our creative sides take over the blog. But this certainly won't be the end! Maybe someday you'll see a sonnet for scoops or a ballade for bottles!
