Jar Mugs and Root Beer

jar-mugs-root-beer
High in the mountain passes of Colorado sits a tiny mining town. In the summer it is filled with hikers, campers, and tourists. During the winter months it bustles with skiers, snowboarders, and snow lovers. Most of the visitors to this town know where to eat pizza. This restaurant not only has fantastic pizza, but it has the ambiance and charm that you expect to find in a high mountain town. Before you get your pizza, though, you get your drinks. And that is when the mood of the restaurant reaches a peak. Your ice-cold root beer is not served in a regular plastic cup. It isn't even in a glass tumbler. You get your root beer brought to your table in a 16-ounce jar mug. And that is just cool.

If you want to create this level of awesomeness at your restaurant, you should look at serving beverages in this unique mug. It looks almost like a jam jar, but it has a handle (as a mug should). It even has threads that would work with canning lids. Your cold drinks will look fantastic in this glass mug.

This mug is specifically made for cold drinks. You should not use it for hot drinks. If you pour hot drinks into a room temperature mug, it could make the mug break. So stick with cold drinks for this mug. It is also not for canning. The mug looks like a Mason jar, but it's made for drinks, not preserves.

If you don't have a restaurant and a soda fountain, you can also use this mug for other things. They would be attractive filled with flowers, or would make a unique container for a candle. If you need more ideas of how to use this mug, check out this blog post on alternate uses.

This mug will look great in your restaurant. Spice up the atmosphere and serve your root beer in some of these great jar mugs!
