In the presence of resin royalty, meet the Prince of Plastic
in-the-presence-of-resin-royalty-meet-the-prince-of-plastic
Is it just me, or are modern films lacking originality? It seems as if movies today are either based on books, historical happenings, graphic novels or even television shows. The fact that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is based on a video game franchise didn't peak my interest. In fact, in a typical situation it may have even deterred me from seeing the Disney flick. Yet one sensible reason and one reason alone, led me to the local cinema in late May 2010 – Jake Gyllenhaal in armor.

Go ahead, ridicule and mock my star struck confession, but at the end of the day, I know I'm not alone. While ladies in theaters across the country pondered the physics behind Mr. Gyllenhaal's cascading brown locks, the guys silently told themselves that Jake's physique had been graphically altered, no amount of time in the gym could make a guy that chiseled. It's a gamer's movie, yeah, sure.

Our CPS Studios spin on the film, Prince of Plastic: The Resins of Time follows a plotline similar to the film. That is, if you're a fan of far-fetched stories. Through years of experience in the packaging industry, Ben (Executive Vice President and our CPS Studios October Prince); like Dastan, has not only been adopted, but truly touched by a royal family. A family of plastic containers.

Like Dastan, Ben is fearless when he's clad in armor made from, you guessed it, plastic containers (or a working knowledge of plastic containers, same-diff) that have literally left their mark on his heart¦ and surrounding protective chest gear, bearing their resin identification codes in a fashionable pattern.

Also mirroring the Prince, Ben often risks his life jumping through hoops and attempting dangerous gymnastic routines not just for the fun of it (although he can be a bit of a show-off every now and again), but to ensure packaging victories for our customers. Yet, he doesn't do it all alone. Even Dastan's well-equipped Persian army couldn't stand a chance against our plastic container wielding CPS battalion of Agents and Representatives.

Read Keith's (Executive Vice President and movie/packaging mashing calendar expert )<a title=Visit Container and Packaging Supply and learn how The Prince of Plastic image was designed! href=https://www.containerandpackaging.com/wallpaper/2011/princeofplastic.asp> behind-the-scenes revelations about the creation of October's Prince of Plastic calendar image and gain a special insight into the daily adventures of CPS employees.

Search through the resins (or sands) of time to discover your diamond in the rough amongst a plethora of plastic containers.
