Whether it's the entrepreneur or doomsday-prepper that brings it out in us, or merely the desire to enjoy foods outside of season, no one can quite say. Regardless of inspiration, canning skills are in high demand and this Saturday they will be on full display. Keep reading to get the details on Can-It-Forward Day 2012.</p> <p>Jarden Home Brands, the makers of Ball home canning goods is sponsoring the second annual National Can-It-Forward Day on Saturday, July 14th. This social media-based event aims to provide instruction and support to canners of all experience levels in their attempt to preserve the fresh foods they love. <b> </b></p> <h3><b>The webcast</b></h3> <p>Coming at you live from Muncie, Indiana (where local residents are invited to attend in person) from 9:00am “ 2:00pm (EST) anyone and everyone (with internet access, that is) will be able to stream a webcast featuring canning demonstrations from the best and brightest Ball has to offer via their website “ <a href=http://www.freshpreserving.com/>www.freshpreserving.com</a>. <b> </b></p> <h3><b>Make a day out of it</b></h3> <p>If you're into canning, chances are you've got a few family members, friends or neighbors that are food-preserving fans too. Make a day out of the event and host a webcast viewing, canning party.
