Finding the right Cosmetic Container (Step 3)

finding-the-right-cosmetic-container-step-3
Finding a cosmetic container for a blush or bronzer can be a bit tricky. With blush or bronzer, it’s at this point where applying makeup goes from general coverage to a more detailed art. Eye liner or eye shadow can be a little tricky but we'll talk about that in just a minute.

Blush can be stored in a shaker jar. Just like with mineral foundation matching the color of the blush to a Pantone ® color on your label will go a long ways towards presenting your customer with an accurate shade. Some blush can be pressed into a more solid form and used in a compact, but to do so would usually require specific equipment to press the powder into a more concentrated form.

Eye liner needs a disclaimer; always be careful using any products, even natural ones, near the eyes. Eye liner should be carefully formulated to avoid any contaminants that could potentially cause infections. Getting some in your eyes is bad enough but if you have ingredients that can cause further harm, well that's not good for anyone. You'll want your eye liner to be mixed with some kind of oil or butter to keep the compound in place. This will also keep it slightly moist for easier application. This should go in a shallow lidded container. At CPS you'll want to talk to a sales representative about finding more options for compact options, especially for multiple compartments for different colors.

Often eye liner (eye shadow) is packaged with a brush or applicator. If you want to do this, talking with a CPS rep about an appropriate cosmetic container will also be advisable.

Continue to Step 4
