Containerandpackaging.com gets a head-to-toe makeover
containerandpackaging-com-gets-a-head-to-toe-makeover
It started with the printing press, then came the typewriter, next the computer that was larger than your living room and finally the desktop that could be hooked up to that inter-web thing. All leading up to the packaging company website refresh of the century. Welcome to the new containerandpackaging.com (version 5.0), we hope you like it here.

The unveiling of the updated website has been a joyous occasion littered with several changes. We didn't just get a facelift (don't you love the new, sleek look?!), we simplified processes and added a few features too. Let's take a walk through some of the most profound changes.

Catalogs
Browsing items can be done through the product and image catalogs, the same way they always have. The change here (aside from being able to search for products based on color!) is that our new and improved site offers a third catalog option, categorizing containers based on industry usage. No more clicking the orange arrow button, scrolling through personal care containers when all you want is a glass jar to package your spaghetti sauce. Now all you have to do is select the industry of your choice and voila, the applicable options appear in front of you. The catalogs are located under the Products tab on the gray bar near the top of the screen.

Our latest and greatest (new items), extras (overstock items) and graduating containers and closures (closeout items) are available for browsing under the Products tab as well.

Blog
Our home here on the blog had a bit of work done too. What do you think of the new digs? Each article features a photo and quick description, conducive to browsing (go ahead and click through though, you know you wanna ¦) and sure to be a good fit for your fast-paced lifestyle. The clean and glossy look of the page highlights the best blog content and features clear access to blog search and archives, our social media outlets (“Like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!) and a direct connection back to the products is only a click away.

Just in case you can't remember how you got here, the blog is the first link listed under the Resources tab. You can also reach this destination by clicking the cute little green page and pencil icon or by clicking on one of the articles featured on the home page.

Customer Account
You know how everyone says they don't have a favorite child, yet you can tell through their clenched teeth that they really do? That's kind of how we feel about the customer account feature. We love all of our website features equally, but the customer account is pretty snazzy. Use your login information to access extra goodies like past order information, tracking updates and special pricing listings (for high volume customers). Don't worry if you don't have login information yet, you will be prompted to create a username and password when you proceed to the checkout for the first time. Watch our latest video, Did you know?, for a sneak peek into the benefits of logging in.

We love the new website, but who cares what we think? We want your opinion. Do you like the refresh? What about it appeals to you (design “ more space, less clutter, colors; functionality “ Is it easy to use? Have you been able to navigate the site and find everything you need?)? We want your input; share anything and everything that comes to mind.

Sound off about the new website in the comments!
