Not to mention my vulnerability for a well-crafted pair of jeans (for which Banana Republic has perfected, no thanks Pajama Jeans). And to top it all off, is it my fault that uniquely textured over-the-top designer bags seem to scream my name? I think not. I digress, enough with the shopping tirade. The point I mean to make is that we all have our impulse buy items. Whether they are shoes, jeans, bags, athletic wear or accessories, all of these fashionable items have one thing in common, plastics! Lucite comes from the plastic, poly (methyl methacrylate), also known as Plexiglas. This is the closest you're going to get to a Cinderella glass slipper-like prom or wedding shoe. It's a fairy tale addition to any closet. JEANS I take my hat off to all the skinny jean fans out there. Spandex (a combination of polyurethane and polyurea) enables the denim material to cling to the wearer. If you can manage to get them on, skinny jeans are a great wardrobe indulgence for the punk rocker in us all. BAGS A stylish weakness for many ladies, handbags are available in a variety of plastic-made materials. Nylon, vinyl (PVC) and rayon are just a few plastics available on the tote shelves. ATHLETIC WEAR There's nothing quite like slipping on a fresh active wear ensemble. The material breathes, yet fits like a glove. And, more importantly, it's capable of standing up to the ferociousness of a die-hard workout. That's the magic of polyester. ACCESSORIES Rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and much more!
